OUR HISTORY

The YumaKids Foundation, created in Bogotá in 2016 by professionals in Psychiatry, Medicine, Psychology, Pedagogy, and Sociology, works to promote the mental health of children and adolescents living in situations of social conflict and emotional vulnerability.
Since its beginning, it has implemented in Colombia the Mental Health Workshops for Adolescents (TSMA)—a model developed in Barcelona by psychiatrist Asunción Soriano and adapted with the support of the University of Tolima and the Education Secretariat for schools in Ibagué and rural areas of the department. In addition to a clinical approach, YumaKids incorporates artistic activities such as photography and theater, strengthening emotional well-being and socio-affective skills through creative experiences.
The Foundation works with youth in vulnerable contexts and conflict zones, offering its intervention model free of charge to communities and institutions.
