2026 Calendar Sale Kicks Off Mental Health Awareness Campaign

This is some text inside of a div block.

The YumaKids Foundation presents the 2026 Calendar, whose launch marks the beginning of an annual awareness campaign dedicated to highlighting the various mental-health challenges affecting children and adolescents in Tolima. This educational and outreach campaign begins with the sale of the calendar, whose proceeds will help sustain our clinical, educational, and community programs.

The DEmente Calendar is an invitation to look mental health straight in the eye. It is not just a decorative object, but a call to observe, understand, and openly talk about what for years has been kept hidden. Its purpose is to break the stigma surrounding mental-health disorders through a visual play: each month transforms a fear or an inner struggle into a clear image.

Mental health concerns us all, directly or indirectly, and the more we hide it, the more harm it can cause. That is why this calendar proposes a courageous gesture: to look it straight in the eye. It is a piece designed to raise awareness, foster sensitivity, and open conversations—perfect for homes, offices, schools, and educational centers. The calendar reminds us that caring for the mind is just as important as caring for the body.

The central aim of this initiative is to reduce misinformation and promote an informed and respectful language around child and adolescent mental health. Throughout the year, each month will be dedicated to a specific topic, accompanied by educational content that helps deepen our understanding of relevant emotional, psychological, and social factors. In January, for example, we will address awareness around depression, one of the many emotional realities we support at YumaKids.

Our work is grounded in a comprehensive strategy that combines specialized clinical care, educational interventions, and community engagement. We believe that supporting a child experiencing emotional difficulties not only improves their individual well-being, but also strengthens their ability to contribute to the progress and cohesion of their communities.

Some global indicators on child and adolescent mental health to keep in mind

  • According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately one in seven adolescents (ages 10–19) lives with a mental disorder, with depression, anxiety, and other emotional problems among the leading causes of morbidity.

Purchasing the 2026 Calendar not only helps us fund clinical care, educational initiatives, and community programs, but also serves as a driver of awareness—a tool to promote an informed, grounded, and empathetic dialogue around youth mental health throughout the year.

At the YumaKids Foundation, we extend our sincere gratitude to our community, partners, and donors who join this initiative. Thanks to your support, we can continue creating spaces where every child and adolescent has the opportunity to develop their emotional potential and contribute to collective well-being.
