Led by photographer Santi Núñez, with participation from professionals including
psychiatrist Inés Andreu Borrás, Ágora Images director Octavio Royo, filmmaker Álex Rey,
and educator Néstor Cardoso, the workshop inspired creative engagement among youth.
Besides technical skills, the workshop fostered dialogue, collaboration, and mutual respect.
It concluded with a public exhibition attended by family and community members,
enhancing young participants sense of pride and belonging.
Due to the positive reception, YumaKids considers expanding the program to rural areas
with local government collaboration. This reflects its commitment to mental health and
youth empowerment through art.
Art therapy has proven effective in promoting mental health—reducing stress, building
confidence, and allowing the expression of difficult emotions in safe, creative ways.
