Fundación Yumakids has hosted a solidarity wine tasting event in Vilanova i la Geltrú, aimed at supporting the child and adolescent mental health intervention programmes that the organization develops in the department of Tolima (Colombia).
The event was made possible thanks to the collaboration and generosity of several sponsors: Ferret i Granell, Celler de Xalet, Ramon Canals, Trias Batlle, El Pati Copisteria, and Xarcuteria Eva Mercado VNG, as well as all the individuals who participated and contributed to the initiative.

The funds raised have been allocated entirely to strengthening the teams of professionals working in the field within psychological and community support programmes for children and adolescents in vulnerable contexts in Tolima. This reinforcement has enabled an expansion of intervention capacity and a consolidation of support for children and families in situations of psychosocial risk.
In many areas of the territory, professional teams play a key role in the early detection of emotional difficulties, family support, and the creation of safe spaces where children can express themselves. Strengthening these teams has a direct impact on the quality and reach of the intervention.

Solidarity initiatives coming from different parts of the world, however small they may be, highlight the importance of collective commitment to the protection of Colombian childhood. The connection between local and international contexts helps generate support networks that translate into a direct impact on the lives of children.
Under the motto “Healing childhood is transforming the future”, the solidarity wine tasting highlights the importance of joining efforts to contribute to the emotional well-being of children and adolescents.
